Free Write: What would you do if you found a magic wand?
When I was 9, I found a magic wand right outside my house. It looked very much like a stick. I picked it up and started to wave it around. I accidentally turned my shoelaces into gold, and my hair red. My dog was suddenly a hedgehog and I didn't know why. I tried casting spells, "turn this rock into gold," I commanded, pointing the wand-stick at the rock I was holding in my hand. The rock turned into gold. I was astonished! I would be rich! I went home and used the wand to do my homework, perfectly. I turned anything invaluable into gold. Years later, I was rich and became a successful doctor who cured cancer, (because I wished that I was the smartest person in the world). But the day I turned 40, everything took a turn for the worst.....
